Utah Adult OHV Education Course (Free & Online)
All off-highway vehicle (OHV) operators 18 years of age or older must complete the free, online Utah Adult OHV Education Course to legally operate an OHV on public land, roads, or trails in the state.
The course is a once-in-a-lifetime requirement, designed to be completed in under 30 minutes, and covers key topics including safety, trail etiquette, responsible recreation, and Utah’s OHV laws.

Education Requirements for All Riders
Under Utah law (H.B. 180):
- Riders under 18 must complete the Youth OHV Education Course and carry a valid certificate
- Riders 18 and older must complete the Adult OHV Education Course and carry a valid certificate while operating an OHV
