Community Event Calendar Submission Terms and Conditions

By submitting an event to the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation’s Community Event Calendar, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting your event.

1. Eligibility for Submissions
The Community Event Calendar is intended to feature events that promote outdoor recreation, education, and responsible use of natural resources in Utah.
Events must be hosted or sponsored by a recognized organization, agency, or business. Individual or private events will not be accepted.
2. Content Guidelines
Relevance: Events must be relevant to outdoor recreation, including but not limited to hiking, boating, off-highway vehicle (OHV) use, trails, safety training, conservation efforts, or community outdoor activities.
Accuracy: Submitters must ensure that all event details are accurate at the time of submission. This includes dates, times, locations, contact information, and event descriptions.
Appropriate Content: Submissions must not contain:
Offensive, defamatory, or discriminatory language.
Political endorsements or fundraising solicitations.
Promotion of products or services unrelated to outdoor recreation.
Compliance: Events must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including permits and regulations related to outdoor activities.
3. Submission Approval and Moderation
The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation reserves the right to review, approve, edit, or reject any submissions at its discretion without notification.
Submissions that do not meet the guidelines or are deemed inappropriate will not be posted.
Approved events may be edited for clarity, grammar, or formatting before publication.
4. Ownership and License
By submitting an event, you grant the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute the submitted content on its website and related communication channels.
You affirm that you own or have the necessary rights to submit the content and grant this license.
5. Liability Disclaimer
The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation does not endorse or take responsibility for the accuracy, legality, or quality of events listed by external organizations.
The division shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage incurred as a result of participating in or attending events listed on the Community Event Calendar.
Submitters assume all responsibility for their events, including securing necessary permits and following safety and environmental regulations.
6. Removal of Events
The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation reserves the right to remove any event at any time, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to non-compliance with these terms, inaccurate information, or complaints from the public.
7. Indemnification
By submitting an event, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your event or violation of these terms.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
The Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Submissions will be subject to the terms in effect at the time of posting.
