Silver Lake Trail Project – Alpine

Welcome to the National Trails Day Silver Lake Trail Project. Volunteers of all experience levels are encouraged to participate. Those 18 and under must be accompanied by a consenting adult.
Participants should come prepared for a day of outdoor work. Please wear long pants, long-sleeve shirts, sturdy boots, and bring gloves, sun protection, food, and plenty of water. A limited number of gloves will be available, and the Forest Service will provide additional PPE such as eye protection, hard hats, and necessary tools and supplies, including shovels and trash bags.
Volunteer activities will include litter cleanup, light trail maintenance, and brushing back vegetation along the Silver Lake trail.
Weather conditions may vary throughout the day, so please plan accordingly and bring layers, including rain gear and a jacket.
Volunteers should arrive promptly at the Silver Lake parking lot at the North end of the reservoir at 9:30 AM for a safety briefing and to complete the required volunteer agreement with Forest Service personnel.
Volunteers will meet at the Silver Lake Flat parking lot at north end of Silver Lake Reservoir up American Fork Canyon. It is a dirt road to Silver Lake Reservoir.
