Free

Get ready for an unforgettable night under some of the darkest skies in Utah! Join us at Area Dugway Proving Ground—nestled in Utah’s West Desert, better known as “Area-52”—for a one-of-a-kind Dugway Star Party experience.

In partnership with the University of Utah Department of Physics & Astronomy and DarkSky International, this special event brings expert astronomers right to our community for an engaging, family-friendly evening of discovery.

🌌 Event Schedule & Highlights
The evening kicks off at 8:00 PM in the Keetch Army Community & Family Room with a special presentation on Black Holes—perfect for curious minds of all ages. We’ll also have treats, coloring sheets, and more to keep kids engaged and entertained.
At 9:00 PM, we’ll head out to the Dugway Parade Field for an incredible stargazing experience using professional telescopes. Have your own telescope? Bring it to the parade field before the event for set-up and hands-on guidance from the astronomy team!

✨ EKO Adventure Challenge Bonus!
Participants can complete the “Starry Skies” challenge as part of the Every Kid Outdoors Initiative Adventure Challenge during the event. Don’t forget to bring your passport and check in to earn your stamp while exploring the night sky!
Whether you’re a lifelong stargazer or just curious about what’s above us, this is your chance to explore, learn, and be inspired. Bring the whole family, enjoy the beauty of Dugway’s incredible dark skies, and make memories that are truly out of this world.
